Hosted by: Alliance for a Healthy Kansas and Indivisible KC This past weekend we joined Kansas constituents and Senator Moran to let him know that we cannot afford to kick hundreds of thousands of Kansans off their health insurance to pay for tax cuts that add to our deficit.
We let Sen. Moran know that inserting the repeal of the ACA into the tax plan doesn't work for us. The current Senate tax plan would result in 13 million Americans losing health coverage. Premiums would skyrocket. And, ultimately Medicare and Medicaid would be cut by billions per year, putting hospitals and communities at risk. We were there. Only one person out of nearly 90 clapped in support of the bill. THIS in CLAY CENTER, KANSAS. "He stopped short of promising to vote against the tax reform bill that passed the U.S. House last week, but Sen. Jerry Moran, R-KS, said he will not support a tax bill that just helps the wealthy." — Salina Journal, 11/25/17
